Internationally renowned composer and conductor, Steven Bryant comes to campus May 3-6. The event known for the best door prizes! The 10K and
5K are both beautiful courses. The funds for this ‘park to park’ run (the 10K runs from Forsyth Park to Daffin Park and back) go towards the rewards CrimeStoppers offer in order to solve crimes in our community.
CrimeStoppers relies on cooperation between the police, the media, and the general community to provide a flow of information about crime and criminals.
The 10K will start at Gaston Street and head west making a turn to the south on Whitaker Street along Forsyth Park to Park Avenue then to Bull Steet. Then continue south to Washington Avenue turning east towards Daffin Park. Runners will loop Daffin Park and make a return trip west on Washington Avenue and turn north on to Bull Street continuing to Park Avenue. Runner will then turn North on to Drayton and then west on to Gaston to the finish line.
The 5K will start on Gaston and proceed west to Whitaker Street along Forsyth Park to Bull Street then turn around at Washington Avenue and make the loop around Forsyth Park to the finish on Gaston Street.

Run, walk, or roll in Senior Citizens, Inc.’s inaugural Miles for Meals 5k held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 8 a.m. at Historic Grayson Stadium.
Race proceeds benefit the Meals On Wheels program of Senior Citizens, Inc., which feeds hundreds of homebound seniors each day, while at the same time offering them a friendly midday visit.
